It's not very often there's a UFO sighting in Hull, & since I was witness to such an event (nowadays also known as a UFP - an unidentified flying projectile), I thought I should write a song about it - a sort of 'celebration'. Therefore, what you see/hear here is the snappy 'single mix' of I Saw A Flying Saucer - a longer version of which will be on next year's GGB album, 'The Further Adventures Of Graham Graham Beck'. Yes, I know 2024 is some time away (forward planning & all that), but I've been asked if it was available to buy (as it's already been played on BBC6 Music a couple of times - thank you Tom Robinson!), & it's also now part of my live set...So here it is.
Of course, there will be people who won't believe me at all, but there's a video to accompany this song on my YouTube channel, with actual footage! Seeing definitely is believing!!
lyrics
I saw a flying saucer,
I saw a flying saucer take off from the moon.
I saw a flying saucer,
It took off from the moon, it'll be here soon.
I saw a flying saucer,
I saw a flying saucer up in the sky.
I saw a flying saucer,
It just hovered there, but I don't know why.
It was long, it was short, it was round, it was flat,
It was small, it was big, it was silver, it was black.
I saw an alien,
I saw an alien step out of the craft.
I saw an alien,
He looked up at me, & started to laugh.
He said, "Take me to your leader!",
He said, "Take me to your leader!" - you don't want that!
He said, "Take me to your leader!",
I said, "You don't want that, they'll lock you up & that'll be that!".

Graham Graham Beck: vocals, all things keyboard, Moog Theremin, drum machine & percussion. All put together at In-The-Loft Recordings (2023).
Under the alias, 'GRAHAM GRAHAM BECK', I've played visual/Surreal & slightly comedic solo performances for several years -
complete with keyboard, auto-accompaniment & a few stage props. Since 2013, I've self-released several solo albums (as Graham Graham Beck). There have been favourable reviews, & BBC6 Music's Tom Robinson has played various tracks, too (& even supported him on his solo tour!)....more
