If you like synthesiser washes, sequenced, arpeggiator bits & searing lead lines - & lots of wobbly, wavering, notes, played on a small collection of analogue/digital keyboards - then you'll like this. I wanted to set myself the task of producing an album that was partly-inspired by Walter Carlos' 1968 album, 'SWITCHED-ON BACH', for a full-on 'SWITCHED-ON BECK experience', but without the classical bits. I think I've captured it in spirit, if nothing else, with the addition of electric guitar to three tracks (to give them a bit of 'omph'!). Drum machines abound, & the obligatory hint of acoustic piano - plus a harpsichord - permeate the various scenarios. I think it's all there, with my own humorous & Surreal take on things - fourteen tracks of instrumentals & songs about this quirky life...& life couldn't be any more quirkier at the moment!
This download album also includes: TWO BONUS TRACKS (Majorettes In The Mosh Pit - the Mosh Pit Mix - & Ken, You're Just Plain Weird! - the Minimal Weird Mix), PLUS an extended version of track 14 (NOT AVAILABLE ON THE CD VERSION), 'Da Da Takes An Extended Trip'.
