If you like dance band music, with some electronics thrown in, then you'll REALLY like this album. If you don't, then you won't.
Alphonso & his 6-piece band is the ficticious invention of GGB (or is it another alter-ego?), where there's an excuse to zoom off in a totally different musical direction...In this case, good old-fashioned dance band music, but with the addition of synthesisers to 'bring it up to date' to appeal to the contemporary market (or so Alphonso believes). Big band arrangements, bossa novas, jazz, dreamy laid-back tracks, disco, ska, novelty numbers, & there's even a song in there.
So, sit back & relax, & have a bit of 'Alphonso time'.
